The Lone Star Film Festival's Short Blocks 1 will include the following short films:

Baby Mary by Kris Swanberg - An 8-year-old girl living on the west side of Chicago finds a neglected toddler and decides to take her home.

High And Dry by TJ Misny - A photographer suspects that her declining eyesight might have disturbing implications when she realizes she cannot remember the last time she cried. Her efforts to force a cathartic experience threaten to alienate her from those she loves.

Romantic Moment by John Wilson - Based on the poem of the same name by Tony Hoagland, a couple on their second date find themselves on the precipice of physical intimacy. While portraying these tender yet awkward moments, the film explores analogous circumstances in the animal kingdom.

In doing so she must accommodate an eccentric artist’s confusing demands and confront her own limitations to discover what being an artist is really about.
