The Ant Colony presents Nancy Ferro: Adaptive Reuse opening reception

eventdetail

The juxtaposition of the past with the present, both visual and conceptual, are the contrasts and intersections with which artist Nancy Ferro enjoys working. Part of a quotation from an Isaac Bashevis Singer novel, “…patterns of continuous creation”  has run through Ferro’s thoughts for several years. The ways they affect each other are of interest and importance to the artist. In this series, Ferro began working with gentrification in relation to inclusion. It became very personal as it morphed into adaptive reuse as it applies to the architecture/structures/land/history of our city. In a small way, the way of one person, she hopes to touch on the importance of this at this particular time, in the history of Dallas.

Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through October 24. Gallery hours by appointment only. Please call 214-766-2929 to arrange a showing.
