CentralTrak will present Mona Kasra: #solidarity, a new exhibit alluding to the growing crossover between the use of self-portrait photographs (selfies) and online activism in the age of social media. Her new video work looks at socially engaged selfies that circulate on social media websites in response to various environmental, economic, political and social issues around the world, and brings attention to the ways by which these images signify a new form of visual activism in the networked digital era.

Following the opening reception, the work will be on display through August 16.
