The Chinese Lantern Festival was such a big hit at the State Fair of Texas that they have decided to extend it. From November 1, 2012 through January 6, 2013, you'll be able to ogle 22 themed lantern sets, which includes peacocks, flamingos, a 50-foot pagoda and a dragon made from 15,000 porcelain dishes. The exhibit will only be open at night this time around, meaning you'll get to see it in all its lit-up glory. Along with the exhibit, there will be folk art demonstrations and Chinese food for sale nearby.
Kids 4-12 will get half price if they attend anywhere between November 1 and December 1, while seniors 60 and over can enjoy half-price Mondays and patrons in wheelchairs get in for half price every day. Also, online orders in November will get a 15% discount through November 15 and 10% through November 30.
