Gifted with a rare combination of stunning virtuosity, serene lyricism and an unfaltering musicality, James Ehnes is a favorite guest of many of the world's most respected conductors including Vladimir Ashkenazy, Marin Alsop, Sir Andrew Davis, Charles Dutoit, Paavo Jarvi and Lorin Maazel.

He has performed in over 30 countries on five continents, appearing regularly with many of the world's most well-known orchestras, including Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, New York, London Symphony, Philharmonia, BBC Philharmonic and the NHK Symphony Orchestras.

His extensive discography of over 25 recordings has garnered many international awards and prizes, including a Grammy, a Gramophone and six Juno Awards.
