The Complete Works of Shakespeare: King John

Shakespeare Dallas and AT&T Performing Arts Center are in the midst of presenting staged readings of every single one of Williams Shakespeare's works over five years. The 29th in the series will be King John.

Power, politics, lineage and legitimacy are all on the line in one of the least performed plays in the canon. Richard the Lionheart is dead. His less than heroic brother, John, is determined to keep his grasp on the English throne, in spite of the stronger claims of his nephew, the young Prince Arthur. Increasingly threatened by Arthur’s supporters at home and in France, John finds the chilling answer to his woes: he will blind the boy with hot irons.

Performances will take place in Hamon Hall. Student tickets for The Complete Works of William Shakespeare are now free to students with valid IDs. Student tickets will be available at the door only. Only two tickets per student ID.
