Dallas Arboretum presents Politics, Pumpkins, and Price
During this election season, spending a day in the garden is a day well spent to relax and to forget about politics. The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden welcomes guests to come out and hear the great words of George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Benjamin Franklin and other famous contributors during the last month of Gary Lee Price’s Great Contributors Bronze Statues Exhibit, on display through November 27.
The life-size bronze sculptures are sitting on benches placed among the spectacular fall color throughout the garden. Autumn is the perfect time of year for a picnic in the gardens or a leisurely walk among thousands of fall-blooming flowers. Local celebrities, including news personalities, will recite Abraham Lincoln’s “Gettysburg Address” and George Washington’s “Farewell Address in 1796” throughout the garden at 10 am and 1 pm daily.
