Bar None is an annual variety show sponsored by the Dallas Bar Association and Dallas Bar Foundation. Written, directed, and performed by Dallas-area attorneys, judges, paralegals, legal secretaries, law clerks and others in the legal community, Bar None celebrates its 30th Anniversary in 2015.

The all-volunteer production cast and crew begin each new year by brainstorming the title and creative skits for the upcoming performance to blow off a little steam and make fun of themselves. This year’s performance titled, “XXX Obscenely Funny,” is a revue of the best of the best of shows over the past 30 years.

Since its debut performance in 1986, Bar None has raised well in excess of $1,600,000 for the Sarah T. Hughes Diversity Scholarships at SMU’s Dedman School of Law. The full tuition scholarships are awarded to first year law students and are renewed for the second and third year under condition of satisfactory academic performance. In recognition of Bar None’s efforts, Legal Services of North Texas presented the 2000 Equal Access to Justice Award to the Dallas Bar Foundation, Dallas Bar Association and the Bar None Production Company.
