The Civil Discourse Series presents all sides of a thought-provoking topic through respectful discussion. For each event, the Museum will convene a panel of subject matter experts to represent their unique perspectives on an issue related to human and civil rights.

In this session, the panel will discuss U.S. Policies on Refugees. This event will be moderated by Stella M. Chavez, KERA Reporter and Blogger.

Panelists will include:

  • Mark Hetfield, President & CEO, Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS)
  • Mark Hugo Lopez, Director of Global Migration and Demography, Pew Research Center
  • Ira Mehlman, Media Director, Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR)
