The Family Place Texas Trailblazer Awards Luncheon annually recognizes an individual who has made a significant contribution to the community. This year, The Family Place is honored to pay tribute to the legacy of Harold C. Simmons for his support of The Family Place as well as the many, many organizations, charities, hospitals and countless people who have benefited from his unprecedented generosity.

The luncheon features a conversation with Joe Torre, a former All-Star baseball player, four-time World Series Champion as manager of the New York Yankees and member of the Baseball Hall of Fame, interviewed by Dale Hansen, WFAA Channel 8 Sportscaster.

The event raises funds to support the comprehensive programs of The Family Place and ensure that life-saving services will be available to women victims and their innocent children for years to come.
