Spanish cellist Adolfo Gutiérrez Arenas makes his Fort Worth debut with Lalo's rarely-performed Cello Concerto, followed by Schumann's massive Symphony No. 2 with its stunning slow movement and gestures to Beethoven's influence. Weber's Overture to Der Freischütz will also be performed at this concert.
