2017 is the year of Exploration Space at the Museum and they are celebrating it with NASA Apollo 13 astronauts whose exploration into space became headlines around the world.

The gala will feature a conversation with Apollo 13‘s Commander, Jim Lovell, and Lunar Module Pilot, Fred Haise. They will talk about their experience on the mission that became classified as a “successful failure.” Everything changed on NASA’s third lunar landing mission, Apollo 13, when an oxygen tank blew up 200,000 miles from Earth. The conversation will be moderated by Mark Davis, Talk Show Host, 660 AM The Answer, Dallas-Fort Worth.
