Frontiers of Flight Museum presents Moon Day

The Frontiers of Flight Museum will host the biggest annual space exposition in Texas to celebrate Moon Day.

Moon Day 2016 will celebrate the 47th anniversary of the launch of Apollo 11, the NASA mission that led to the first human footsteps on the moon. Moon Day features numerous educational presentations by subject area experts in the Moon Academy for young students and the Lunar University for college level and above. DISD Educators can receive Continuing Education Credits for attendance at Lunar University classes.

Moon Day honors previous space flight accomplishments and focuses on current and future activities in space exploration as well. Their STEM-focused event, with an anticipated audience of 2,000 visitors, will include programs and classes for all ages. Moon Day is presented jointly by the Museum and the National Space Society of North Texas.
