Holly Johnson Gallery will present Contain Me: Ink Drawings by Todd Camplin. Camplin has been using words and phrases as source material to create detailed ink drawings for nearly a decade. Often taking months to complete individual works this painstaking process involves the repetition of small words, letters and marks evocative of highly detailed maps and textiles.

Recently he has focused on two different approaches to working with words. One approach is inspired by cardboard container designs where he draws words and letters around the packaging's perimeter to make new images, and the second is drawing a phrase repeatedly over and over to completely fill the surface. From afar these works appear abstract but when the viewer gets closer, beautiful, intricate patterns are revealed.

Following the opening reception, the exhibit continues through July 18.
