Japan-America Society of DFW presents Mochitsuki New Year’s Celebration

The Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth will present the New Year’s traditions of Japan at the 16th annual Mochitsuki New Year’s Celebration, afamily-friendly festival. Highlights include taiko drumming, Japanese folk dance, tea ceremony demonstration, and ikebana (flower arranging). Watch rice being pounded for mochi (rice cakes), a treat you can sample with various toppings. Try your hand at calligraphy, origami, and traditional games for children.
