Elliot, Patricia K. Summey and Gayla Brooks, authors of Legendary Locals of Oak Cliff (Arcadia Publishing, 2013) will speak at the talk sponsored by the Dallas Mayor's Summer Reading Club.

Elliot, an Oak Cliff native, is a faculty member in SMU's Department of Statistics and the author of more than 30 books, ranging from histories to children's books to technical books.
