In 1914, Ford Motor Company built its Model T Plant in Deep Ellum at what is now the Adam Hats Lofts. Deep Ellum will commemorate that anniversary with a “100 Years in Deep Ellum” outdoor celebration that includes a Model T Car Show and 1920s "flapper" girls, a horse-drawn carriage history and architecture tour, food, drinks, music and more.
History tours will take place at 11:30 am and at 3:30 pm on horse-drawn carriages. Everyone is encouraged to come dressed in 1920s-themed attire. Tickets $20 and attendance is limited to 20 for each tour. Tickets for the tours can be purchased by clicking here.
There will also be an after-party at Red Light Lounge, 2911 Main Street, at 5 pm.
The event will take place in the parking lot at 2636 Main Street, adjacent to the Deep Ellum Outdoor Market.
