The Hope Center, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to strengthen the impact of Christian nonprofits in North Texas and worldwide, will participate in the National Day of Prayer by hosting a special time of fellowship and prayer at its Plano campus.

The keynote speaker is Tommy Nelson, author and Senior Pastor at Denton Bible Church. The program will include other speakers from various segments of the North Texas community.

National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday in May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. The bill establishing this day of prayer was unanimously passed by the United States Congress in 1952 and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman.

There is no cost to attend the hour of fellowship and prayer. There is a nominal charge for the All-American lunch of hot dogs and fixings.
