Veteran North Texas NPR affiliate KERA commentator and National Endowment poet Rawlins Gilliland is going live and unplugged in Rated (R)awlins. Rawlins’ autobiographical “verbal memoirs’” promise evocative, scary and funny tales of his unlikely early life told in his unique voice.  Joined by a jazz trio onstage, this first-ever solo show features everything from early childhood celeb-laden cocktail parties in his artistic family home, a late teen murder trial, global airline stowaway adventures and ribald stints in California nude communes and Istanbul brothels.
