Red Arrow Contemporary presents Jeff Gibbons and Justin Ginsberg opening reception
Red Arrow Contemporary will present a new exhibit from Apophenia Underground, an artist collaborative co-founded by Jeff Gibbons of Detroit, Michigan and Justin Ginsberg of Dallas, best known for their recent curatorial project, Deep Ellum Windows). They will exhibit works made by the collaborative as an extension of their self-titled ongoing project which utilizes the open road as a studio/exhibition space and the inherent change, chance, objects and environments as material.
Last summer for approximately seven weeks, they drove throughout the United States, covering approximately 13,000 miles. Both Gibbons and Ginsberg set up camp in remote woods, stayed in cheap hotels/motels and slept on the occasional couch, while making multi-media work and documenting the experience.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through March 29.
