UNT’s Regents Professor Emeritus of Jazz Studies and the ambassador of jazz piano, better known as Dan Haerle, leads an all-star cast of jazz musicians and fellow educators — Brad Leali on alto sax, Jeffry Eckels on bass, and Ed Soph on drums — in an opening set of contemporary jazz.

The second set features Mack Goldsbury on reeds, Duane Durrett on drums, Clyde George on organ, Tom Burchill on guitar, and Victor Cager on vocals. This award-winning quintet pays tribute to Sandtown, the area of Weatherford, Texas, made famous by the many jazz greats who rehearsed there in the early 1960s.
