Sammons Jazz features two outstanding female jazz vocalists in this annual tribute to Leigh Tomlinson, a longtime Sammons Jazz volunteer, talented singer and audience favorite. Singing, composing, and producing jazz “just because,” Candace “Mahogany” Miller captivates audiences with her ability to fuse familiar tunes and original material into an unforgettable show. Joining her is a top-notch band: Shaun Martin on piano, Jason Davis on sax and woodwinds, Stuart Mack on trumpet, Young Heo on bass, and Andrew Griffith on drums.

The definitive international jazz vocalist, Nina Katrina, mixes Brazilian jazz with soulful folk and blues in four different languages. She fronts a talented band that includes Richard Martin on piano and Dennis Durick on drums.
