Southwest Gallery will present “Color Me Contemporary,” a group exhibit featuring artists, Paul Walden, Mark Whitmarsh, Tony Saladino, and Dennis Johnson.

  • Walden refers to “Apparent Chaos” when viewing his paintings in a limited sense. They appear chaotic but the subconscious elements create order and harmony with in the composition.
  • Whitmarsh creates relationships that excite the eye through exploration of light, color and space.
  • Saladino’s use of color and subject matter make for beautifully executed works that are not only pleasing to the eye but thought-provoking as well.
  • Johnson’s paintings do not have to relate to anything or follow rules. It simply invites us to think, to reflect, to open our mind to the possibility that all any art has to do is make us feel.

Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on view through March 3.
