WaterTower Theatre will present Women in Theatre, a lecture featuring women stage directors. The lecture will be moderated by the Dallas Observer's Arts and Culture editor Lauren Smart, and features stage directors Phyllis Cicero (Jubilee Theatre), Cheryl Denson (Uptown Players), Kelsey Leigh Ervi (WaterTower Theatre), Katherine Owens (Undermain Theatre) and Susan Sargeant (Wingspan Theatre).

The objective of the event is to explore challenges, issues and opportunities women working in the theater face. For the inaugural lecture, Women in Theatre will present a forum featuring several local stage directors. Each of the directors will bring personal insights, from a uniquely female perspective, about their experiences navigating the often challenging world of theatre. The goal is for Women in Theatre to become an annual event hosted by Women of WaterTower Theatre.

All ticket proceeds go to support WaterTower Theatre's artistic and education programs. The ticket includes the lecture and a reception with the artists afterwards.
