Prohibition (formerly The Chesterfield) harkens back to the halcyon days of the early 20th century when care and effort went into making a cocktail. They shake and stir quality drinks meant to be appreciated with each sip here. The cocktail menu is long – 11 chapters! – and arranged by sours, fizzes, smash, juleps and the like. It’s enough to induce decision paralysis. Ask for a recommendation or just close your eyes and point – then slip into a blissful speakeasy existence. The menu is a mix of small and large plates, flatbreads, and salads. Plus there’s brunch on Sunday and late-night snacks (Cuban, burger, cheese plate and the like) served until 1:30 am.
