Frontiers of Flight Museum

Located next to Love Field, home of Southwest Airlines, the Frontiers of Flight Museum chronicles the history of human flight with artifacts, scale models and various historical airplanes. The World War I and World War II exhibits are highlights, as is the Apollo 7 command module. Although not an overly large museum, the place does pack in a lot. The museum gives special focus to Dallas’ role in the history of aviation.

Call ahead to schedule a tour. If you have a child who’s enamored with airplanes, consider hosting a birthday party at the museum.
