Main Street Garden
Bound by Main, Commerce, Harwood and St. Paul streets, Main Street Garden often gets a bad rap as a magnet for Dallas’ down-and-out population. In fact, its central location and inviting sitting areas and shade structures were designed to attract people. The plan worked a little too well, so the park almost doubles as an unofficial homeless shelter. However, park manager Downtown Dallas Inc. would rather people flock to the space for its urban dog run, fountains, public art installations, food vendors and great main stage, which often features live music for city events.
Visitors can stop by Rusty Taco, which has a branch inside the park.
