Yum! Brands developed this fast-casual banh mi sandwich concept with Dallas-based consultant Mark Brezinski and Dallas restaurateurs Braden and Yasmin Wages, owners of Malai Kitchen in West Village. Conceived as an upscale Southeast Asian street stall market, Banh Shop spotlights a number of options of banh mi, including steak, pork meatball, chicken and tofu, as well as more Americanized sandwiches such as steak and egg. There is also a selection of Southeast Asian salads, soups and wok-fired bowls.
