The Grape is famous for a lot of things: romance, wine, mushroom soup, brunch, burgers. Seems like an odd mix, but for this charming restaurant, one of Dallas’ most beloved wine bistros, the mix makes sense. Despite its legacy as a special-occasion place, affable owners Brian and Courtney Luscher have turned it into a comfortable neighborhood joint worth frequenting. And the interesting yet approachable menu, devised by chef Sarah Chastain, is also affordable. Look for bistro favorites such as mussels, steak frites and roasted chicken, most of which are available in smaller portions that ring up at less than $20 each.
