Oak
|
At Oak, the quality of the food matches the price point, which is harder to come by in Dallas than it ought to be. Chef Jason Maddy draws inspiration from around the globe to create an often-changing and sophisticated mélange of dishes, such as a simple Caesar made interesting with mint pesto and a stunning starter of octopus and pork jowls. Well-executed mains range from lighter seafoods (black bass, salmon) to heartier proteins (Kobe beef, lamb), and desserts are equally memorable, thanks to pastry chef Sarah Green. The dining room feels less like a restaurant and more like the home of your chicest friend.
If you don't like to valet, park along Hi-Line Drive.
