Food Network star Lisa Garza has created the most welcoming restaurant on the block. From the sunny yellow door to the Spode china, every inch of this place oozes Southern charm. Fried chicken is the big deal of course; it's brined, battered and crisped and served in a two-piece dinner or a bucket for sharing. (Just go ahead and get the bucket, and apply the house-made sriracha liberally.) Curry, creme fraiche and caviar fancify that old picnic staple, deviled eggs, and pimento cheese and ham salad may send your taste buds straight back to childhood.
Drop by for a hand-crafted cocktail during happy hour, 4-7 pm, Monday-Friday. Or, if you'd prefer to nurse a bucket of chicken at home, Sissy's gladly does takeout.
