What: My Furry Valentine, presented by Downtown Dallas Inc., The Petropolitan and DogFit Dallas

Where: Main Street Garden

The 411: With a high near 70, the weather could not have been more welcoming for the hundreds of dogs and their two-legged companions who headed to downtown Dallas for an afternoon of unadulterated animal love. In addition to a festive costume contest with prizes, pet photos by Longhorn Photo Booth and general revelry among canines, folks from Duck Team 6, Dallas Pets Alive, DFW Pug Rescue Club Inc. and Chihuahua Rescue & Transport Inc. were onsite to help spread the good word about pet adoption. A few four-legged lovers also got intimate at a kissing booth — but we won't tell. Human attendees snacked on vittles from City Park Cafe while visiting the booths of vendors such as the Upper Paw, Lucky Puppy Adventures, Leash Pals Dallas and Fit for a Pit.
