Dallas police discovered the body of D'Lisa Kelley, 24, in the 1200 block of Presidio Avenue in South Dallas on March 14. She went missing on March 7.
According to police, Kelley, a pregnant mother, was last seen at 6:30 pm on March 7, when she left to attend a wake. She never arrived at the location and did not notify anyone about a change in plans.
Police believe Kelley inadvertently made a phone call en route to the wake, and "sounds of an argument could be heard in the background." That was the last time anyone heard from her.
After police found Kelley's body on March 14, grieving friends and family created a Facebook page to remember the young mother. "Justice for D'Lisa should be served. She did not deserve this," the page reads.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office is still working to determine Kelley's cause of death. Police are now investigating the case as a homicide.
