Road rage ends with gunfire in Far North Dallas

Getting into an accident during rush hour traffic is enough to ruin your day. But one Dallas fender-bender went from bad to worse when a man pulled out a gun.

On June 17 around 4:40 pm, police say two cars collided in the 5900 block of Arapaho Road, near Prestonwood Country Club. Courtney Ray Terrell, 29, stepped out of his Jaguar and approached the driver's side window of a black Nissan Altima.

The driver of the Nissan rolled down his window, and the two men began to argue. That's when police believe the driver pulled out a gun and started shooting.

At least one bullet struck Terrell in the stomach and several others hit a passing car, causing more than $1,000 in damage. After flagging down a state trooper, Terrell was transported by Careflight to Parkland Memorial Hospital. He is listed in stable condition.

Police are still looking for the shooter but have little to go on. The only available description of the suspect is that he is a black male who drives a newer model black Nissan Altima.
