They Will Rock You
Queen and Adam Lambert gear up for summer concert tour with Dallas stop
Queen and former American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert are teaming up for a summer arena tour, which stops at American Airlines Center on July 10, 2014. The tour will hit 19 cities across North America, starting in Chicago on June 19.
The tour will also stop in Houston on July 9, making it and the Dallas concert the only two tour dates in the South.
Surviving Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor decided to go on tour with Lambert after a much buzzed-about appearance together at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas in 2013. They've actually appeared together many times before, dating all the way back to Lambert's time on Idol, but this is the first time they've gone on tour together in North America.
The tour will feature Lambert taking on the Freddie Mercury role as lead singer and belting out all of the band's greatest hits, like "We Will Rock You," "We are the Champions," and "Bohemian Rhapsody."
It's a great time to be a Queen fan in Dallas; in addition to this concert, you can also get a Queen fix with the musical We Will Rock You, which Dallas Summer Musicals is presenting at the Music Hall at Fair Park through March 16.
Tickets for the Dallas date go on sale Friday, March 14, through the Live Nation mobile app and at Livenation.com. However, anyone with an American Express card has access to a pre-sale starting on Monday, March 10.
