Many of the state's biggest stars gathered at the 15th annual Texas Film Awards in Austin on Thursday night, where the Austin Film Society celebrated prominent Texans in the film industry. This year's honorees included Tommy Lee Jones and former Dallasites L.M. Kit Carson (posthumously) and Luke Wilson.
The actress — who won the lone Academy Award for Richard Linklater's Boyhood and lit up the interwebs with her acceptance speech — had lots to say about returning to Austin to celebrate with her Boyhood family (the film was one of the evening's honorees), the good work of the film society (which Linklater founded) and the originality of Austin's people. Last but not least, she reveals one thing that most people probably don't know about her.
