Hopes have been dashed that Lana Del Rey will reschedule her May 9 concert at Gexa Energy Pavilion. The venue has announced that there will be no make-up date due to scheduling conflicts. The excuse for the original postponement was weather concerns.
Del Rey's cancellation was so last minute that opening act Courtney Love had reportedly already performed for the crowd. There were severe thunderstorm warnings in the area that night, but according to at least one Twitter user, the storm was never a threat to the concert:
All ticketholders will receive a full refund automatically if they purchased via Ticketmaster online or over the phone. Anyone who bought a ticket in person — do people still do that anymore? — will have to return to their point of purchase for a refund.
