Indie rock rules 2014 KXT Summer Cut Festival with headliner Death Cab For Cutie
The third annual Summer Cut: The Happy Funtime Fest from public radio station KXT 91.7 FM returns again with some of the biggest names in indie music.
The music festival takes place on Friday, August 15 at Gexa Energy Pavilion. This year's headliner: Death Cab for Cutie. Other national bands on the docket include Iron & Wine, The Hold Steady, The Oh Hellos, The Wild Feathers and Thao & The Get Down Stay Down.
The appearance by Death Cab for Cutie is one of a handful of national festival dates the band has announced starting in August, giving out a strong signal that the group will release its long-awaited eighth album around that time.
Local acts on the bill include The Unlikely Candidates, The Orbans and Valise.
Tickets for the festival go on sale to the general public on Friday, June 6, with prices ranging from $29.50 to $56.50.
