Adult Onesies, Anyone?
One Direction's 1D World pops up in Dallas at Shops at Park Lane
At long last, you have a chance to buy your own adult onesie when a pop-up retail store dedicated to boy band One Direction opens at the the Shops at Park Lane on Saturday, June 22.
Called 1D World, the store will be wedged between Gordon Biersch and Bowl & Barrel, where it will stay in business for a bittersweet limited span of two weeks. It will sell hundreds of One Direction-themed items, from hats and hoodies to the sartorial must-have known as the adult onesie, described as "an adult-sized zip-up sweat suit." Also known as footie pajamas, also known as this year's Snuggie, but with feet.

One Direction is a Simon Cowell creation that formed in 2010 on the English TV show The X Factor. They released their debut album, Up All Night, in 2011. Chart-topping songs include "Live While We’re Young" and "What Makes You Beautiful."
The store will serve as an appetizer to their July 22 show at American Airlines Center, which is already sold out.
The original 1D World debuted in May 2012 in Melbourne, Australia. Since then, two dozen locations have opened in cities such as London, Barcelona and Toronto. The Dallas store will be No. 25. Yay for us! We're just like London.
Pop-ups in America have popped up in New York; Chicago; Minneapolis; Phoenix; and, most recently, Portland, Oregon, which closes June 23. The Dallas store will be open 9 am-9 pm on opening day. Regular hours will be Monday-Saturday, 10 am-9 pm, and Sunday, 11 am-7 pm.
