The DIFFA/Dallas 18th annual Holiday Wreath Collection at Dallas Market Hall was quite the holiday season kickoff. But it wasn’t just the people (who were fab) or the nibbles (which we devoured) or the champagne (which we sipped) that made it so very special. The wreaths themselves deserved some ink.

Local business, designers and all-around creative types devised more than 30 wreaths, ranging from the traditional to the avant garde to the whimsical. Gallerie Noir’s truly Texas version, replete with cow skull, was a real talker, as was Tractor Beam’s Lego wreath. Lisa Garza’s creation, with its herbs and spices, was as fragrant as her cooking at Sissy’s Southern Kitchen.

We pulled together a few of our favorites to get you in the holiday decorating spirit. We could all use a little inspiration, right?
