Tiny homes are all the rage these days, which got us wondering, what are some of the tiniest homes for sale in the Dallas-Fort Worth area? And we don’t mean the ones destined for tear-down (although these days, no home is safe). We’re talking cute homes that make a big statement despite their diminutive stature.

We checked in with Ebby Halliday Realtors, and they helped us compile this list of six homes, all under 1,000 square feet. (The smallest clocks in at 784 square feet.) They all boast at least two bedrooms (sometimes three) and one bathroom, and one property even includes a mud room, despite it’s small size. Bigger doesn’t necessarily mean better. Especially when it comes to these homes.

9919 Dresden Dr., Dallas
2 bed/1 bath/984 square feet
$275,000

While this charmer is under contract, it’s a perfect example of how quaint a tiny home can be. Beautiful landscaping and an inviting front porch set the scene for what is to come — which is a completely updated, move-in ready home.

9919 Dresden Dr., Dallas (continued)

The home features hand-scraped hardwoods throughout, new windows, new cabinets, stainless steel appliances and a gas cook top in the kitchen, and an adorable bathroom. The home also sits on a huge corner lot, giving the illusion that it’s even bigger than 984 square feet.

8749 Rexford Dr., Dallas

2 bed/1 bath/934 square feet
$324,900

This remodeled cottage is located in Shore Crest Terrace, making it an easy commute to downtown, the Medical District, and Love Field. The lush landscaping gives the property a storybook feel.

Inside, you’ll find an updated kitchen and bath, hardwoods, and, rare in a home this size — a mud and utility room. There's a workshop and storage area in the backyard that's equipped with electricity, too.

3925 Birchman Ave., Fort Worth
2 bed/1 bath/996 square feet
$217,000

Built in 1939, this home oozes historic charm, with original hardwoods and bead-board ceilings. The covered patio and large backyard offer endless entertaining options. String a few lights up between the trees, and you’re good to go.

3925 Birchman Ave., Fort Worth

The kitchen has been updated with new cabinets and granite countertops. Other updates include a new HVAC and tankless water heater. There also happens to be a workspace in the garage.

3208 Salerno Dr., Dallas
3 bed/1 bath/985 square feet
$142,000

Built in the 1950s, this Oak Cliff home has been completely remodeled and is move-in ready. While you’ll need to jazz up the front with some flowers, a new fence and large deck in the backyard have already been added.

3208 Salerno Dr., Dallas (continued)

A spacious kitchen with a dining area, granite in the bathroom and kitchen, and spacious bedrooms round out the features.

4813 Calmont Ave., Fort Worth
2 bed/1 bath/784 square feet
$159,500

Complete with a white picket fence, this cute Arlington Heights cottage is the tiniest of the bunch. We love the mint-green house color paired with the brightly hued green front door.

4813 Calmont Ave., Fort Worth

On the inside, you'll find original hardwood floors, a spacious living area, and a claw-foot tub in the bathroom, making it anything but short on character.

2814 S Montreal Ave., Dallas
2 bed/1 bath/840 square feet
$109,900

We’ll grant you that this home could use some landscaping, but just imagine the possibilities. A few window boxes, some hanging baskets, maybe a tree off to one side to frame the house, and you’re good. In the back, you might add a fence and some sod.

2814 S Montreal Ave., Dallas

Luckily,  this Oak Cliff home (just steps from Kiest Park) has been completely remodeled and is move-in ready, so, the one thing you don’t have to worry about is the interior. Like we said, it just needs a little yard TLC — and trust us, that’s way cheaper than gutting a kitchen.
