Fine-dining restaurant Bijoux, named one of the 10 hottest new restaurants in America by Bon Appétit in 2007, has announced it will close on February 28.

Owners Gina and Scott Gottlich opened the Park Cities restaurant eight-and-a-half years ago. "Bijoux's run has exceeded all of our expectations and wildest dreams," Scott said in a release.

"We feel now is the right time to close, on a high note, so we can stay focused on our other restaurant, the Second Floor at the Westin Galleria, and take time consider future projects."

The Gottliches gave a month's advance notice to allow time for grieving, final reservations and redemption of outstanding gift certificates. They also wanted to make sure that they were open for Valentine's Day, because their dining room has played witness to proposals, anniversaries and wedding celebrations.

"Valentine's Day has always been one of our busiest and most special days, so it's important that we give our guests one more romantic dinner at Bijoux," Gina said.
