Between Fat Tuesday and Valentine's Day, this week is sure to be a (boozy) doozy. Food and drink events in Dallas abound, and some of them are downright fabulous. By the way, if you have not yet booked Valentine's dinner reservations, check out this complete list now — before you're stuck ordering take-out.

Fat Tuesday Celebration at Hookline
Partake in an all-day crawfish boil in honor of Mardi Gras. Starting at 11 am, enjoy cocktails like hurricanes, sazaracs, dark & stormies, and the cinco de bayou for just $5. Long necks and draft beers are also on special, and the Just Friends Dixie Land band is performing from 5-10 pm.

Mardi Craw Party at The Rustic
The good times will roll while Cajun cooking and cocktails flow.  Tomar and the FCs are headlining the party, and there will be lots of free Mardi Gras swag, face painting, New Orleans-inspired tunes, and photos by Photo Wagon. Tickets are free with RSVP or $30 for VIP, which includes access to a buffet, cash bar, and special seating in front of the stage. The fun kicks off at 5:30 pm.

Wednesday, February 14

Vintage Valentine's Bash at The Statler
Share with your sweetheart an old-school evening, featuring dinner, drinking, and dancing the night away in The Statler's grand ballroom. The evening includes a three-course dinner and the smooth, sweet tunes of Hunter Sullivan and his 15-piece big band orchestra. Tickets are $119 and the evening begins at 7:30 pm. The last dance is at 11 pm.
