Sin City is the newest market for Brenham's specialty: Blue Bell Ice Cream. Starting March 3, Las Vegas residents can buy the tasty frozen treats Texans know and love, thanks to a new 12,000-square-foot distribution facility near the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Nevada grocery and convenience stores — such as Albertsons, Walgreens and Walmart — will carry the same flavors offered in Texas. Nevada becomes the 23rd state to carry Brenham's best.
“We look at consumer demand and grocer relations to make the decision of where to go next,” said Kaysie Noska, a public relations and market specialist with Blue Bell. “We’ve had a lot of local demand from our grocery stores and our customers who’ve moved from other parts of the country,” sales manager David Horner told the Las Vegas Review Journal.
Blue Bell has been producing ice cream since 1907 and now offers more than 50 year-round and seasonal flavors.
