Healthy food fans in North Dallas get a new option via Nature's Plate, the vegan/plant-based "meals to go" company, which is opening its second Dallas location at Preston Forest Square, at the southwest corner of Preston and Forest roads.
The shop will be located at 11811 Preston Rd., # 101, which was previously the La Coiffure hair salon, and is expected to open in April.
Andrew Wiley, a VP at JLL, the real estate company that represented Nature's Plate, says in a release that the location was a good fit.
"Nature's Plate's plant-based meals and meal plans provide a healthy, attractive option for vegans, vegetarians, and healthy eaters looking for something to grab on the go," he says. "This new location allows them to tap into a large segment of underserved consumers hungry for a healthy alternative."
Owned and operated by sisters Annette Baker and Marianne Lacko, Nature's Plate started as a small business venture in 2011.
They opened their first storefront at 10233 Northwest Hwy. in the Lake Highlands area in 2015.
They also have two pick-up locations for their meal plans: one at Overture Plano at 500 Coit Rd., and the other at Local Press+Brew, at 1605 N. Beckley Ave. in Oak Cliff.
Nature’s Plate makes tasty and satisfying plant-based foods, offering globally inspired meals, ready to enjoy. Their meals are all non-GMO and mostly organic. Offerings are 100% vegan with many gluten-, soy-, and nut-free options.
There's a yummy BBQ plate with BBQ-baked tofu, mashed potatoes, and broccoli; a buffalo chickpea wrap with a spicy mix of chickpeas, veggies, and hot sauce, combined with Romaine lettuce and carrots in a whole grain wrap, served with house-made ranch dressing; and spaghetti and "meatballs," with whole wheat spaghetti, bean- and nut-based "meatballs," and a savory mushroom marinara sauce. Everything they do looks so great.
They do take-out and dine-in options, along with weekly meal plans that are available for pick-up every Thursday and Sunday from 3 pm-7 pm.
