Chili's tests burger stacked with 5 meats in 3 cities including Dallas

Dallas-based Chili's Grill & Bar is trying out three new burgers, including one that comes with a beef patty topped with four more meats.

Called the Boss Burger, it has BBQ sauce, ranch, lettuce, tomato, a beef patty, cheddar cheese, brisket, pulled ribs, jalapeño sausage, and bacon. It has 1,650 calories.

The burger is being tested in three markets across the nation, including Dallas, at these stores:

  • 1901 Long Prairie Rd, Flower Mound
  • 4570 Highway 121, Lewisville
  • 7675 S. Custer Rd., McKinney

"When we look back on what truly made Chili’s famous, we always come back to the same thing – burgers, ribs and fajitas," says Chili's spokesman Steve Provost. "Chili's was the original gourmet burger concept back when we opened our doors on Greenville Avenue in 1975. At almost half a foot tall – and with bacon and rib meat and sausage and brisket stacked on top of our one half pound of burger meat – it’s hard to get any higher than The Boss."

In 2017, the company decided to focus on burgers, ribs, and fajitas. Burgers are their first initiative.

With the burger coming in at 1,650 calories, they recommend viewing it as a group project, or else eating some and taking the rest home.

In addition to The Boss, they're testing two other burgers: Chili’s Chili and Alex’s Santa Fe.

  • Chili’s Chili was on our the menu in 1975 and uses their original chili recipe.
  • Alex's Santa Fe was conceived by Chili's chef Alex Gomez, and comes with avocado, tomato, onion, pickles and spicy Santa Fe sauce.

The other two markets where the burgers are being tested are Little Rock, Arkansas and Jacksonville, Florida.
