Cane Rosso brings back date night to lead best food events in Dallas
World Cup coverage has officially taken over every restaurant and bar with a television. If you aren't down for draft beer and wings with a side of soccer, we have a few food events that may be of interest. Highlights include a new foodie fest on the charity scene, a one-year anniversary party for Wine Poste and an official date-night movement.

Flavors of Dallas at Hyatt Regency Dallas
The first Flavors of Dallas, which kicks off at 6:30 pm, brings together top chefs from around Dallas-Fort Worth for a night of exquisite food and fine wines. Guests can watch and interact with the chefs, who prepare five-course meals paired with wines for tables of 12. Flavors was started in 1991 by James Beard Award-winning chef Christopher Gross in Phoenix. Today the event is hosted by the organization in 20 cities across the country and raises millions of dollars annually to support the work of the American Liver Foundation. Tickets are $450 per person.

Swine & Wine One-Year Anniversary Event at Wine Poste
The Wine Poste is celebrating its one-year anniversary with a five-course pig-centric dinner paired with French wines. Chef Graham Dodds (Hibiscus) and chef Matt Ford (formerly of CBD and Craft) whip up a menu that includes heirloom melons, burrata with tomatoes and bacon, roast porchetta, sauccisse de Toulouse and peach-blueberry buckle. Tickets cost $80 a person, and the event starts at 7 pm with a wine reception.
Come As You Are Wine Dinner at The Grape
Chef de cuisine Jed Demler follows this month's theme, "A Sampling From Spain," with a three-course tasting menu to highlight the hand-selected Spanish wines. Guests dine at their own pace, allowing for more one-on-one chats with the wine experts. Reservations, available from 5:30-9 pm, can be made by calling 214-828-198 or visiting Open Table. The meal costs $48 per person.

#GlamourDateNight at Cane Rosso
As part of Glamour magazine's #GlamourDateNight, a nationwide campaign aimed at inspiring women to bring back the date, Cane Rosso is offering a Neapolitan pizza, salad and mini-carafe of wine for $30. Cane Rosso is one of many restaurants across the country to join the movement.

Caroline Wright's Garden Dinner Party at Cebolla Fine Flowers
The author of Twenty-Dollar, Twenty-Minute Meals hosts a three-course garden dinner party featuring dishes from her latest cookbook. Think grilled escarole with peaches, prosciutto, mozzarella and basil; Merguez burgers with cucumber dressing and herb-salted French fries; and lemon zest sundae. Wright plans to cook the dishes herself while sharing dinner-party tips. Local farms — including Pure Land Organic Farms, We Over Me Farm at Paul Quinn College and Sterling Lamb — are providing the produce and meat. Tickets are available for $30 each and include a copy of the book. Dinner starts at 6:30 pm.
