Thanks to the culinary stylings of chef-owner Matt McCallister, FT33 has become one of the top restaurants in Dallas. Now the Design District gem is garnering more national attention as one of Wine Enthusiast's 100 Best Wine Restaurants for 2015.
"Jeff Gregory, the general manager and wine director, dedicates his list to small-production, family-owned wines, with a particular focus on bottles from the Loire, Anderson and Willamette valleys," reads the magazine.
But the wine isn't the only thing drawing praise. McCallister, a finalist for Best Chef Southwest in the James Beard Awards, doesn't prepare his menus until about an hour before service begins, ensuring inventive dishes that take advantage of the area's local produce.
