Frenchy's, the Houston-based, Cajun-style fried chicken joint, has been on a significant growth spurt. Over the past several years, Frenchy's has grown to 29 locations in the Houston area. By the end of 2015, the company plans to have 50 locations and will move for the first time beyond Houston and Beaumont to Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and College Station.
Once the company establishes its foothold in the rest of the Lone Star State, it plans to grow nationally.
"With 46 years of tremendous heritage and success, the Creuzot Family and their strategic partners are ready to take the Frenchy's brand to the next level. Our position is simple — recruit, train, develop and retain great people," said Frenchy's development team lead Derrick Thomas in a statement.
"Our ultimate goal over the coming years is to grow into a strong national brand with over 500 locations ... We’re excited about all the opportunities in front of us, and we're prepared for the hard work it will take to deliver our outstanding quality products and world-class guest service experience to the masses."
It will take a lot of spicy chicken, dirty rice and Cajun hot sausage to reach 500 locations, but Frenchy's track record of success bodes well for its future. Who's ready for a campus special?
