We are front-loading this week in the world of food and drink events. Turns out, restaurants and bars realize that we all like to sit at home with a cold beer and hot dog on Labor Day weekend, so see ya on the other side of the holiday.

Casa Noble Tequila Tasting at Whiskey Cake
These monthly tasting dinners are starting back up with a bang. This five-course meal includes Wagyu spindle street tacos, blue agave and cumin cured duck, bone-in pork chops, and Nitro Cold Brew flan. Tickets are $75, and the meal starts at 7 pm. Reserve your spot by calling 972-993-2253.

Ida Claire Pop-Up Dinner at Bitter Sisters Brewing Company 
Enjoy a four-course dinner in the tasting room with chef Amanda Vasquez of Ida Claire. Courses include beef belly báhn mì, blackened Icelandic sea trout, braised shortribs, and an autumn cherry eclair. Tickets are $65, and the dinner starts at 7 pm.

One Million Cups at Dallas Entrepreneur Center
Owners and operators from six different food trucks around DFW are set to talk about the trials and tribulations of their profession. Hear tales from the "truckers" behind Easy Slider, Ruthie's Rolling Café, So-Cal Tacos, The Dock, The Famous Dumpling Bros., and Tutta’s Pizza. This event is free and starts at 9 am.

First Anniversary Champagne Dinner at Sixty Vines
Sixty Vines is celebrating its first year in Plano with a five-course champagne dinner. Courses include Yukon gold and caviar pizza, lobster fettuccine, oysters, miso black cod, and peaches and cream posset. Tickets are $90-$100, and the dinner starts at 7 pm.
